During the Primary stage of education, we aim to build upon their pre-primary learning children have just experienced. We further develop their skills, knowledge, concepts, values and application.
The curriculum is integrated and arranged thematically, thus encouraging students to discover connections between traditional subjects such as math and science. During primary education, students are also encouraged to discover connections between school experiences and everyday life.
In addition to the regular subjects of English, Maths, Hindi, Marathi, Science, History, Geography, Music, Drama, Art and Physical education; areas such as citizenship, critical thinking and robotics are also explored.
Besides parent-child collaborative projects, any homework given to the students is designed to be completed by them independently. Homework is assigned, either to reinforce concepts already taught in the class or to prepare the student for the next class.
Evaluation of students is a continuous process, where students are evaluated periodically according to specific learning objectives. Evaluation takes a variety of forms such as teacher and peer observation, project work, portfolios, quizzes and tests. Through this informal and continuous evaluation, we aim to take the stress out of exam-based evaluation.
